Hello Folks what we have here is an AMAZING! 1973 Steyr Puch Pinzgauer 712 M 6 X 6 Swiss Military Vehicle
Mercedes-Benz contracted with the famous Austrian engineering firm Steyr–Puch
Manufacturer of trucks. tanks and small arms weapons system to product an industrial strength on and off road multi-roll vehicle. These were the work horses of the Swiss and Austrian Army and many others and are still in use. These have a 45 degree approach and departure angle as well as a 100 degree climb angel. The mechanical specs are remarkable. It gets mid teens fuel economy> hydraulically locking differentials on all 3 axles allow true 6 X 6 operation and the front as well as rear axles can be locked individually for varying situations. 5 speed transmission with a 2 speed transfer case with high and low which can be selected on the fly. So no stopping to change ranges or lock hubs.
All axles have been rebuilt and new tires all around as well as paint. Includes ambulance box that bolts on to the back. or leave it as a flat bed for transport.
Check out all the youtube videos on these things pulling thru crazy terrains. They are narrow so easy to maneuver in tight spaces. Rifle racks are still mounted on the passenger side for the Swiss SIG STG 57 rifles or now the 550 series.
