This tremendous example of the lovely Mercedes 190 E has the highest spec we have seen.
The ‘Lapis' blue coachwork is a joy and arrow straight. The wonderfully rare ‘Palomino' full leather interior is quite something to see. The options list was very well considered when this car was built and as such the options include some great features. There is the rare air conditioning option WITH an electric sunroof. The seats are electrically operated. as are the windows. mirrors and locking. There is a high quality hi-fi from the period and superior speakers.
We have never seen this level of interior trim in a 190 E and with the amazing condition of the bodywork and the tightness of the drive…this is quite a Mercedes to own.
The original handbooks and service book is present. Theses are housed in the factory wallet. There is a full set of spare keys and a vast pile of service and repair records. The 190 E was treated to a major air conditioning overhaul by the local Mercedes Benz main agent. The car has been particularly well loved and maintained regardless of cost.
The best aspect of the car is the drive of course. These 190 E were built during a time when Mercedes were still being ‘built for life'…sadly a term which is no longer associated with the modern marque. The freshness of the car is still present when you sit behind the wheel and the fact the 190 E has covered 124 k miles is a genuine surprise when you see just how well preserved this car is.
We strongly suggest this car is viewed and then you will see just how special this particular 190 E is. The drive is simply wonderful and the nimble handling is a feature of the 190 E that is somewhat lacking in the larger cars in the Mercedes range.
The car is on display without our large indoor showroom in North Hampshire (Overton). we generally always have at least half a dozen Mercedes from the 60's. 0's. 0's and 90's. We like to offer the best cars we can source and this 190 E is a fantastic example.
