Vauxhall Cavalier mk2 SRI

Hi thanks for looking. This is a very very reluctant sale. This is a now extremely rare and fantastic example mk2 SRI. One of the most iconic performance hatchbacks of the 80s. I am only having to sell as i need to slim back my performance vauxhall collection a bit - due to another car being now on the way!I acquired this a year ago from Trinity Car Solutions - a wonderfully friendly modern classic car dealership. Prior to that the car was owned for most of its life by an older gentleman who sadly passed. From researching as much as i could about the history of the car. it has been garaged for most of its life. Which explains the excellent condition of the underside! It has 46k miles. Interior is in fantastic condition. No rips at all to the iconic grey recaro style seats. The inside still carries the original GM rubber mats! Everything on the car works. Down to the electric door mirrors. As you will see from the pictures (i am about to upload). the car looks stunning. It gets attention wherever it goes. The car had a fresh coat of paint not long before i took ownership so it really sparkles! The underside is amazing for a car of its age. No rot there at all. There is a very minor patch of emerging surface rust starting to appear by the rear arches. But it is very small and very easily rectified. I have included shots of the bottom of the doors to show how stunning the condition of the body is overall. For a 28 year old car this is stunning!I have added the genuine SRI 130 "teardrop" alloy wheels since i have owned it. These were put on 3 or so months ago with 4 brand new Firestones which have thus done no miles. If course the original steel wheels and trims come with the car too.  Everything on the car is completely original. I even have the original dealer number plates courtesy of the nice people at Trinity Car Solutions. As the orginal owner passed away. there is limited detailed history prior to the last couple of years. I have mot certificates for the last few years which verify the mileage. However the condition and quality of the car speaks for itself. It also had a new water pump and cam belt fitted when i bought it and it has only done a handful of miles since. The car is garaged and on a trickle charger. In short. if there was any possible way i could keep this i would as you just dont find examples like this anymore. However. with 3 other performance vauxhalls to look after there is only so much my long suffering wife will take!
The car is advertised elsewhere so if it sells then the auction may come down. This car must go to an enthusiast!
