we have decided to sell the wifes car as we have too many classics.
its a early. small bumper gli 1600 injection convertible in a amazing unusual colourway. 92 k milage. we bought this car from the old lady who had bought it new from vw in 82. it still has the aa manual in the door from new! it was in need of some love though. so since we bought it its had
new front wings. brakes cylinders. master. pads. flexis. shoes. gear linkage kit. full new exhaust. fuel accumulator and high pressure lines. alternator. windscreen rubber. scuttle pannel repair. tyres. full new custom made roof. as you cant get this tan colour anymore.
its a lovely super original example with the metalic sand paint. tan roof. and brown dash. interior is really good but does have wear/damage to the drivers bolster. drives well but has the typical vague gears. original 13" tarantulas. perfectly useable daily. but it could do with a little love around the rear wings/valance. but hasnt been an mot issue. tested til april 2017.
