AM General M 916 6 x 6 heavy duty transport trunk with winch
Ex-Military 1980 AM General M 916 6 x 6 heavy duty semi trunk with winch. Good condition. runs and drives fine.
Miles : 34. 00 original miles.
Cummins NTC 400 Big Cam Turbocharged Diesel Engine.
Caterpillar 7155 16-spd Transmission.
New Cat shifter.
Heavy Duty Oshkosh Transfer Case. Inter-Axle Differential Lock.
45. 00 lb Hydraulic Drag Winch with 7/8" cable (winch has not been tested).
3. 5" Kingpin. Pintle Hitch.
Rear Tandem Axles: Rockwell SUHD rated at 58. 00 lbs. differential lockup capable.
Steering Axle: Rockwell FDS-1807 rated at 20. 00 lbs
Tires: 11. 00 x 24 load range H. all 90% tread.
Weight 27. 00 lbs
This truck was designed to haul 100. 00+ lb loads.
Maximum highway speed is roughly 59 MPH (the truck is geared low).
Clear Wyoming title.
Testing Performed:Engine starts and runs. Transmission shifts into all forward and reverse gears. Drove truck on back roads up to 30 mph.
I don't have a CDL. so I didn't attempt driving on a highway at higher speeds. Brakes work.
Parking brakes work (replaced 3 brake chambers). headlights work (replaced with new ones). Turn signals and brake lights work. No other testing has been done.
I recommend having a mechanical and safety inspection done before using this truck on public roads.
Note: I recommend that potential buyers see this truck in person before bidding if possible.
