The M1010 CUCV Ambulance (NSN 2310-01-123-2666) has the same cab and chassis as the M1008 cargo truck. but with an ambulance body. The M1010 Ambulance is a variant of the Chevy Commercial Utility Cargo Vehicles (CUCV) series of trucks. It differs from other Chevrolet CUCV models by having the ambulance body. heater and air conditioning in patient compartment. a spotlight. patient compartment dome light and focus lights. and a 200 amp alternator to provide additional power for the extra electrical loads. Some M1010 CUCV Ambulance trucks were used for mobile command and control missions. This one is used for extreme camping and serious fun!

Engine: GM (Detroit Diesel) 379 cu in. (6. 2L) J-series non-emissions diesel V-8 engine. 155hp@3600rpm. It has a new injection pump and refurbished injectors.

Transmission: GM TH400 (Turbo Hydramatic 400) automatic transmission

Transfer Case: Manual NP208 - This is new. not rebuilt! I replaced the old one after having a hard time engaging and disengaging 4Low. There are approximately 2. 00 miles on it.

Front Axle: Dana 60 front with Powertrax Lock-Right locker 2610-LR: This locker makes it a true 4x4 since the both tires are engaged for maximum traction. There are lockout hubs on front axle. 4. 56:1 ratio. Air Lift Ride Control (Part Number: 59512) with adjustable air bags and 1" Zero Rate Add A Leaf. This makes for a comfortable ride without the need of a sway bar. which gives you more articulation while off-roading.

Rear Axle: 10. 5 in Corporate 14 Bolt rear diff (w/Detroit Locker). 4. 56:1 ratio. Firestone Ride-Rite adjustable air bag kit (Part Number: 2040) Again. this gives the smoothest possible ride with a lift!

Electrical: 12/24 volt dual voltage. 200 amp electrical system with Leece Neville(110-555JHO) 12v alternator on top and 24 volt alternator on bottom. (DUVAC is disconnected. ) 24 Volt. 6 Watt Pulse Solar Charge #SP-24PSC (9" x 11") to maintain charge for engine batteries. This is twice as large as the standard solar chargers that came with these trucks!

Wheels: Stock 24 Bolt Tandem Hummer Wheels (double beadlock) with Load Range E BFGoodrich Baja T/A Tires and run flat inserts with matching spare mounted on a HMMWV (Hummer H1) Rhino tire carrier. I've run these tires as low as 10 psi without any problems! The tire carrier makes lifting the 165# tire too easy! I once had a sidewall pierced and I simply drove out on the runflat to an easier place to change the tire!

Solar: Two 235 Watt solar panels connected to AIMS 3000 Watt Pure Sine Inverter Charger with four 125 Amp Hour batteries in a 24 volt series. parallel configuration. It was designed to run autonomously for three days without a charge. however I configured it to be charged from the engine alternators if you run into more than three days of no sun. It can also charge the engine batteries if needed. The solar bank batteries can also be placed in parallel with the engine batteries in case you need to jump start yourself!

This truck only has a little over 21. 00 original miles! It's in nice condition with new CARC camouflage paint. It has a new dash pad. new door seals. new windshield. new front and rear turn signals and new side markers. I bought this as an off road camper and sometimes tow it with my deuce and a half! They complement each other beautifully! This makes for a great expedition. camper. RV. hunting or bug out vehicle.
