1964 RILEY 1.5 - BEAUTIFUL TWIN CARB SPORTING SALOON. PRETTY AS A PICTURE for sale

This is a 1964 Riley 1. 5. the twin-carb sports saloon of the late 50s and early 60s which was very much a trendy little car in its day. Rarely offered these days. the 1. 5 is a super classic to run as it deals with modern-day traffic most comfortably and is a highly pleasurable drive. They were popular rally cars in their time and here is an opportunity to acquire another of my recent "finds. " It runs well with super oil pressure and a really responsive engine. She has lovely panels and her two-tone paintwork in the original livery of Florentine Blue and White is my favourite colour combination on a 1. 5. Even the boot interior is sound and original - including the spare wheel well - which is most unusual. And yes. the front wings are steel and not the fibre glass ones which appear to have ended up on so many 1. 5s and its sister the Wolseley 1500! The light blue leather interior is in delightful order. The chrome work is amazingly good and needs nothing. The close-up photo of the radiator grille shows water marks from washing the car. There is no pitting! Her first owner. a lady in Wimbledon. kept her for 30 years and I would imagine the Riley was her pride and joy. Hence its condition today! The wooden dash and sporting clocks are fine and complete the picture. In fact. the wooden dash is one of the nicest I have seen on this model and is "light" and original. She has been dry stored for the past three years but is ready to roll again now and will undoubtedly do her new owner proud! I can also help with delivery. Martin (07595-020282).
