Here we have for sale my lovely Wolseley 15/60 MOT free and road tax free. to view please ring 2. car is in Paulton near Bristol.

The Wolseley 15/60 was launched in

1958 and produced until 1961 when it was replaced with the 16/60. Like the

rest of the Farina range it was significantly better than anything the

competition had to offer and beautifully built.

This car is a 1959

model in its original colour of Yukon Grey with red leather. The mileage

is correct at 71 k. it has had just 3 owners from new and carried its

original registration number. The last owner subjected the body to a

complete renovation to the highest standard and it is in beautiful

condition. on top and underneath. The chrome and bright-work are original

and excellent and the interior. which is also original is in good order.

On the road. this 53 - year old Wolseley runs and drives

superbly.

The 15/60 is one of the rarest BMC models. almost

impossible to find and practical to own and run. Offered here with a very

sensible asking price.

I would consider a swap for a very nice cresta pa three widow model.

This car is advertised elsware so I reserve the right to remove from the auction.

Payment cash on collection or cheque and collection when cheque as been cleared.

I remember this driving about very posh North Berwick in Scotland anongst all the Porsches , Ferraris abd Bentleys in the town. All other older cars had gone into holes due to the sea air but not this. God knows how its ended up in Bristol.

I used to walk passed this car every day on my way to work at the bank in North Berwick as it sat on the street most of the time. Loved looking at the luxurious interior through the window. It seems to have withstood the East Lothian sea air rather well unlike my Fiesta 1.1 Energy which eent into holes. I do hope it can back to an independent Scotland some day where it belongs.

The Wolseley was originally owned by a well-to-do family who gave it to Peter's (my husband) grandpa as a credit for long service as their chauffeur. The car was then gifted to my husband from his grandpa. Both Peter and myself spent years working on that car to keep it in good condition. Hence it being our wedding car. It was always Peter's car. When Peter died, Gwyneth agreed that she would keep it in the garage until I could take it back. Clearly this has not been the case. I assume that her daughter sold it to you? The car was originally kept in a garage at North Berwick, where Peter and I worked on it.
I am very surprised to see the car up for sale!!

That beautiful car was our wedding transport. My husband owned that car. He died. Who sold his grandpa's car to you? Was it Perkins by any chance? They did not have the right to sell it, if that is the case. It belonged to Peter's mother, Gwyneth Haldane when Peter died.
