1955 VW Oval beetle. Early heart tail light grooved door model. Great project for sale

A nice early oval project car imported from Sweden.
A very early 55 car produced on 24 th January 1955. Delivered to Swedish VW Dealership on 26 th January 1955.
A largely complete car with lots of originality left and with all the hard to find parts in place.
Special features of the 55 and earlier cars and present on this car are:
Heart tail lights.
Grooved doors
Batwing steering wheel
Early original upholstery shaped seats
The car is repainted long ago on the outside but is still original paint on the inside. under bonnet. in the engine bay and door shuts so with an exterior repaint it could be a really nice car still with original feel.
The wings were replaced for new ones by previous owner and are as new.
The car does need some rust repair but its not extensive. It includes repair to floorpan below battery. The remaining areas of the pans are pretty good so full pan replacement is not necessary. Repairs to heater channel area mainly around the rear quarterpanel which on one side was cut out ready for repair by previous owner. There are some other small localised repairs needed but the car is really good for being 60 years old.
Good original bonnet. engine lid and doors. Superb straight roof. Good under windscreen. really good around rear bumper mounts which are very commonly rusty. The car comes from an area where no road salt is used in winter.
No engine fitted or included. I may have a longblock if required but it didn't come with the car so not original to it.
Other than that its an original gearbox. front beam. floorpan and body.
Correctly entered onto NOVA system. age verification letter from VW included too.
