MINT 1971 VOLKSWAGEN 1300 BEETLE ORANGE,VERY ORIGINAL

For sale I have my 1971 1300 vw beetle. have owned it for the last three and a half years and I can say it has been my pride and joy. ut I have spent more time cleaning it than actually driving it only covering just over 200 miles since its last mot(july 2012). Overall the car is very original with only a few mods such as the wheels and being lowered on the front end. o would be easy to convert back to stock if you wished. hen I purchased the car there was some slight corrosion at the door bottoms so I had these welded back up and the doors repainted. have also recently had three of the four wings done as well as they were starting to look a bit rough around the edges and I was keen to preserve the original wings reather than replace with aftermarket parts. part from that I belive the rest of the paintwork to be original and have spent many hours claying and polishing it and must say for a car that's over 40 years old it looks amazing. he floor pans and heater channels are soild and have never been welded. he only welding that I am aware of is one small patch under the passenger side front wheel arch.

The engine is the original 1300 unit which has not long turned over 70. 00 miles i have a box file full of service history and old mots to clarify this mileage is genuine. also have the original bill of sale for the car. if anything i have been over the top when maintaing this car changing the oil and checking the valve clearances every year. ometimes twice a year also changing points. lugs etc at the same time. he engine is strong and has never let me down. he only thing to note is that there is a very small oil leak which has been there since i have had it and has never caused a problem. and as most people say its not a vw  unless it leaks a bit of oil!!!

The brakes on the car are faultless as they have undergone a complete rebuild including the following.

back plates shotblasted and powdercoated. rums shotblasted. owdercoated & skimmed. ew master cylinder & slave cylinders. ew brake hoses & brake lines. ew shoes. tar adjusters & fitting kits all round. lso the gear box oil was changed at the same time as the brake overall so this will not need to be done for a few years.

The wheels are SSP polised fuch replicas and do mot have a mark on them.  only purchased them last year. then had them professionally detailed in gloss black by a local sprayer and then fitted them with detailed centre caps and new tyres. he front wheels are 15"x 5"with a 145/65 tyre & the backs are 15"x 5. 5"with a 205/70 tyre which gives it a nice raked look.

The interior is in amazing condition with no rips or stains anywhere. lso still fitted is the original blaupunkt radio which works but is not wired up as i have a cd player fitted in the glove box. he only changes i have made to the interior is the fitting of new newton commercial carpet set. ew pedal rubbers. andbrake gator. ear knob(i have the original)and a new set of black 3 point seatbelts finished with the Wolfsburg crest on the chrome buckle. he headlining is mint with not a mark on it.

To sum the car up it is very original and is in amazing condition i will be sad to let it go but i feel it needs to go to someone who will use it more. truly belive you will not find many better examples out there it is stunning and gets noticed every where it gos . ny questions please feel free to ask
