1978 CHEVROLET CAMARO 5. 7 L V 8
Absolutely STUNNING Condition
12 Months MOT 6 Months Tax
6 former owners since new (been mine 6 years)
Hate to let her go. but house move forces sale and I simply wont have room for her at the new place
In 2009 car was stripped down to chassis to replace all rotten or tired bodywork. Car was treated to a new floor. new wings. new sills. new rear quarter panels + new door skins. Car was then resprayed in a mid 90's BMW blue except for the bonnet which I kept matt black
In 2010 the car was fitted with a brand new V 8 5. 7 l Chevy crate engine. new alternator. new power steering pump. new distributor + leads. new edelbrock carb + intake. new 'straight through' duel magnaflow exhaust and new headers
The torque converter was replaced + the TH 350 gearbox and LS diff were also overhauled (gearbox and diff are not originals - I have no idea what they came out of). New performance radiator was also fitted
At the front end the shocks were replaced + new performance springs fitted along with new brake discs and callipers. Rear end was left alone (apart from some work on the brake lines). car has standard GM gas shocks and drum brakes (they work fine - if it ain't broke don't fix it)
In late 2010 car was put back on the road and I have used it on dry weekends since (it drives great)
In 2011 I put a brand new set of chrome CW 1 blade wheels on it. tyres are currently cooper cobras and are in very good shape
In early 2013 the interior was restored with new carpets. new seat upholstery (vinyl). new headliner. new door panels. new custom parcel shelf (which hides the cars speakers). an overhaul of the dashboard + a new GRANT steering wheel. Brand new GM seatbelts were also fitted along with a set of original black door pulls. Weather stripping was also replaced
Lights. indicators etc are all legal and up to standard. The V 5 is up to date with all changes due to engine transplant made. Even got the original build sheet! Car is serviced every year with belts. gaskets. filters. brake pads + battery all changed when required
Bad bits? - well there's not many. the exterior chrome is looking a little tired and the paint job has the odd stone chip etc. the rear spoiler does not quite line up (this is a common moan with most f-body cars and remoulds are available). exhaust is a 3" magnaflow and does 'hang low' (car is NOT speedbump friendly). trunk is missing its 'gas hold up thing?' . lovebox has no 'inner' and the cig lighter does not work
Car currently has no CD player fitted but I have a brand new one I will throw in with sale (it glows blue to match paintjob). speaker wire + loom are all present and correct
To sum up this is a gorgeous Camaro that has been pampered and loved (can't remember the last time it saw a drop of rain). There's not many come up for sale in this condition- serious enquiries only please. any genuine questions call Pete on 2 or send me a message (I do work so please be patient if I don't get back to you straight away)
Please note: vehicle dimensions are 195. 5" x 74. 4" so measure the garage before enquiring
£12. 50 ovno
No swaps. trades. insulting offers. or stupid questions please
