Incredible find. 1979 Bay window Kombi with pop top with original. . 33 kms on speedo. Been sitting idle for around for 33 years. motor is running. 2 litrewith hydraulic lifters. the best air cooled Kombi engine. some very minor rust. original Continental tyres
Chassis 239 2 119 237  and engine is CJ104267
originally was used as a surveyors transpiort hence pop top but no camper interior (from new)
when 3 years old was damaged (see photo)  The damage was minor but it was sold by the insurance company to the previous owners father who repaired the damage but never got it back on the road.
Instead it sat mainly in storage. hence virtually no rust. I'm the 3rd owner and my circumstances have changed so reluctantly I am putting her up for sale.
currently awaiting a replacement pop top as the old one was a bit damaged. it should be fitted soon.
In storage in Hastings with my transport company so can be transported directly to you.

Hi - responding in regards to your kombi ad on car from uk.com.
Is it still available? When you say minor rust, how minor would that be? Would it be looking at a lot to fix it, or would it be just surface rust I could fix?
Was the car written off, hence the insurance company taking ownership at one point?
Would I be able to get it on the road ASAP?
Would be happy to organise an inspection if available:)
