TRIUMPH TR4 1963 OVERDRIVE MODEL LOVELY EXAMPLE

Triumph TR4. left hand drive. overdrive. surrey top model.   Originally from Louisana. USA. UK registered. all duties paid.   MOT'd to March 2014 Tax exempt.   The car has been repaired/welded with very minor floor repairs. new sills. new extra thick 2mm inner sills. front and rear valances. metal seam welded repairs to front bulkheads/battery tray area. provision has also been made to easily convert from left hand drive to right hand drive. all weld in brackets are present and correct.   The car is a loose copy of a 'works' rally car. painted in Powder Blue with wing vents in the front wings. surrey top and one or two other little extras detailed below.   The car has been built with mild/classic rallying/road tours/Monte Challenges in mind.   Front and rear suspension is rebuilt. all new bushes. new front trunnions. wheel bearings. joints. etc. Prior to its rebuild which was carried out over a number of years. the car had previously been off the road and out of service since engine failure in Louisana in 1974. so up until last year it had been off the road for 39 years.    The car has the benefit of halogen headlights. twin washer jets. electric washers. servo. a rebuilt (albeit some years ago) engine from a TR4a (TR Workshops of Gloucestershire) but with the recent fitment of a rear oil seal conversion. oil pump drive. a 'Revington' small V belt alternator conversion kit with new waterpump and crank pulley. powdercoated waterpump housing and new stainless steel water transfer pipe. CD175 Stromberg carburettors. spin off oil filter adaptor. oil pressure guage and pipe fitted. 4 into 1 full sports exhaust system in stainless steel. new clutch hydraulics. rebuilt J type overdrive gearbox with overdrive on 2nd. 3rd and 4th upgraded clutch and mechanism. new 'quick' steering rack and solid rack mounts. sports leather rim steering wheel. electric fan. oil cooler. refurbished original style metal dashboard. new grille. radiator cowl. hoses. uprated original style lever arm shocks. new brake and fuel lines. refurbished surrey top and headlining. new weather and door seals. new black and white piped cockpit trims. windscreen wiper wheel boxes. wheel cylinders. shoes. flexible brake hoses. new brake and fuel lines. nbsp;calipers. pads. heater hoses. link pipes. choke speedo and rev counter cables. propshaft and universal joints. refurbished low back vinyl bucket style seats.   Hi torque starter motor. 15" TR6 steel wheels with embellishers.   Cavity wax applied to sills and cavities. black waxoyled protective finish to underside. This is a car to be driven and enjoyed it always starts well. on the button. lots of torque and a very smooth and reliable drive. The car handles and drives very well.
