Triumph TR7 Drop Head Coupe for sale
Current customer rating:
This beautifully looked after Triumph TR 7 roadster has been in the same family ownership from new and is immaculate throughout. Looking wonderful in its original colour combination with woven clad cloth seat inserts and 2. 0 overhead camshaft power.
The car was characterised by its "wedge" shape. which was commonly advertised as: "The Shape of Things to Come". and by a swage line sweeping down from the rear wing to just behind the front wheel. The design was penned by Harris Mann who also designed the wedge-shaped Princess. During development. the TR 7 was referred to by the code name "Bullet". Although the performance may not have been quite as the 'proverbial bullet'. with a 0-60 time of under 10 seconds. it was sparkling and will still keep pace with modern traffic.
In early 1979. Triumph belatedly introduced a convertible version. called the TR 7 dr 0 phead Coupé (DHC). which first went on sale in the US. This British car is ready to drive and enjoy. identified recently as ' a car to buy now'. TR 7's can only increase in value.
