This is a 1989 Astra van in Blue. It has covered just 72 miles from new and is. to all intents and purposes. new. The one and only owner. a local builder bought it new in 1989. drove it home from “Stevenage Car and Commercial” his local Vauxhall/Bedford dealer and parked it in his garage where it stayed until we bought it recently. A sudden down-turn in business in 1989 followed by a change in direction meant that the van was never used.

We have just carried out a basic re-commissioning. Once the fuel lines were flushed. new fuel added and a new battery fitted. the van sprang to life after just a few turns of the starter and it now runs and drives perfectly. It presents exactly as it did in 1989 other than a replacement battery. The condition is almost perfect. the body. underside. load area and interior have not deteriorated and it still has the sell of a new vehicle. The only criticism is some minor oxidization on one or two components – easily removed with a little detailing. We have only covered a few shake down miles so as not to increase the mileage and we have carried out the bare minimum of re-commissioning so far in order not to alter the originality. Happy to discuss with any prospective purchaser.

This Astra comes with everything from the dealer. including book pack with service book. spare keys and registration document. It is not currently MOT'd but that is something of a formality.

True “timewarp” vehicles with minimal mileages have seen huge upward increases in value recently and vehicles from the 80's including commercials are not exempt. This one is unique. sensibly priced and will make a fine investment.
