For sale is a 1974 Renault 16TL. It was a car I bought that I was to rebuild. Original fault was the timing belt snapping internal to the motor. This has been fixed and the engine did turn.
Current fault is an electrical fault. potentially the alternator.

The car is in pretty good shape and has been stored undercover with a plastic car cover for the past 10 years. There are the beginnings of rust spots in the usual locations. but these spots are not as bad as other 16s of the same vintage.

The car has a maroon interior. with the fold down bench seats with integrated arm rest. The seats are not of the right vintage to my knowledge.
The dash consists of side scrolling speedo and chrome highlights. the speedo is in both Miles per hour and Kilometers per hour.

Original windscreen with the instructions for using both the column shift.

Also included is a collection of spare parts incl. a spare alternator and radiator.

The car currently has not been moved in a while and the brakes will need to be bled for they have currently seized.

This car is suited to someone who has time and is willing to spend money on rebuilding.

No registration is included. but some original black plates do come with the car.

Car must be towed by the end of January. this will be at the buyer's cost. The car is situated in Hawthorn. VIC

I'm sorry. but I cannot take photos of the driver side of the car. As my parents have jammed the garage full of crap and I can't get to that side.
I also know the Renault 16 support group in Melbourne. and I need this particular car gone so that I can put my 1970 R16L in the garage for storage.
