Dodge : Charger SE for sale
Current customer rating:
1971 Charger SE
I am offering this very solid 1971 Charger SE HEAVILY optioned car.
I found it in a garage in Wisconsin. where it has been since 1992.
It was born in LA California and remained in California until a couple purchased it and drove it to Wisconsin in 1992.
It has barely been driven since. but has had some work done to it.
Apparently. the heater core had a slow leak. which got bad enough that they stopped driving the car.
Unfortunately. the heater core damaged the heater/ac box pretty bad.
I have removed the heater/ac box out of the car and have it in the trunk.
I found a company in Florida that will completely restore the box for approximately $525. 00.
The car runs and drives fine. however the transmission is slipping.
I changed the transmission fluid. filter and ran some detergents through it. but it still slips.
It seams to get better with use. but I think it may need some work.
Ultimately. if you are buying this car you are buying it for the solid body and interior! Odometer reads 44. 00 miles. but mileage was exempt on a previous title and is not believed to be accurate.
Car has been repainted once. the original Citron Yella.
There was a dent in the right rear quarter above the wheel. which had been pulled out and lightly filled.
The same was done on the left front fender.
I have included a picture where you can see the filler is cracking.
This car has no rot. minimal surface rust (inside trunk). solid floors. solid frame rails and factory undercoat.
The trunk pan is a little rusted from having the factory trunk mat in all these years. but again it is not rotted and has no holes.
Car was rear-ended and needs rear bumper and valance.
I have an extra set of OEM used tail lights for replacements.
Car is originally a 383 4 bbl car. but does not have the original engine.
As far as the interior. all seats are in excellent condition. headliner is perfect. appears to have newer carpet. dash pad is cracked. but the rest is in great shape.
