1982 Clenet series II Cabriolet

This beautiful automobile is a 1982 Series II Clenet Cabriolet!  This is the very desirable 4 seat version of the Clenet's. of which only 182 of the scheduled 250 were built and sold.   The going price for this automobile in 1982 when it was finished was $67. 00. 00  (a lot of money for a car in 1982).   The first series of Clenet's were 2 seat roadsters and they were called the series I and there were 250 of these made.   Mr. Clenet's Automobile factory was first located in a very large airplane hanger at the Santa Barbara Airport in Santa Barbara. California and thats where this car. serial number 118. was born.   The Clenet's all had Ford motor company running gear and this one has the very reliable 351 Cleveland V/8 and Ford's 3-speed automatic transmission and disc brakes up front.   Servicing this car is a snap. as any Ford guy can understand and service it.     This car runs and drives very nice.
