TRIUMPH SPITFIRE MK3 - EXCELLENT CAR WITH OVERDRIVE AND HARDTOP !! for sale

The Mk 3 Spitfire arrived in 1967 with raised front bumpers. improved interior and a fully folding hood replacing the earlier “build it yourself” arrangement. The 1147 cc engine was replaced with the 1296 cc unit similar to that fitted in the Herald 13/60 but with twin Su carburetors allowing 75 bhp and close to 100 mph performance.

This car is a 1970 Spitfire MK 3 in its original colour of Wedgwood Blue with black interior. It is in beautiful condition and comes complete wit matching hard-top. It has had just 3 previous owners and the mileage is almost certainly correct at 74. 00. In the last two years it has had a full re-paint and an engine re-build by Bradbury engineering of Shropshire. It is fitted with various upgrades including overdrive. twin sports exhausts. alloy radiator. brake servo. electric fan. braided brake hoses. Motolita wheel with matching dash panel. K and N filters and modified rear suspension. The carpet set has also been replaced. the bumpers and over-riders have been re-plated and the wheels and tyres are new. As you would expect this MK 3 goes and stops very well. it has strong oil pressure and a pleasing note from the twin exhausts.

Early Spitfires make a very practical classic choice and these beautiful cars are becoming rare and valuable. This one is in perhaps the best colour upgraded and is in beautiful order. Ready to use and excellent value!

Hi I have recently been let down by a seller for a nice Spit Mk3. This one does look very good but i have to be honest i only have £6000 max to spend is this a price you may consider
