1987 Alfa Romeo Alfasud Sprint for sale

The Alfasud Sprint combined the marvellous Alfasud running gear with a pretty Giugiaro-styled coupe body. Those who have driven one will appreciate the hair-trigger throttle response of the twin carburettor 1700 cc flat-four. nimble handling and effervescent character that make them such a joy to drive.
In any condition they are extremely rare cars today. so to find one that has had a total bare shell rebuild to exacting standards is really quite remarkable.
Starting with this low mileage (51 k miles) and nearly rust-free '87 1700 cc Sprint in red with black/green interior. the car was stripped to a bare shell and restored from the ground up. We have a full photographic diary of the restoration that shows in detail the remarkable condition of the underbody. Unusually. very little bodywork was required beyond fitting new sills and a total repaint in its original red.
Mechanically the car has been completely restored with all new suspension. brakes (upgraded) and a fully rebuilt engine with rebuilt carburettors and a new Ansa exhaust. The gearbox is perfect. the original wheels beautifully refurbished with new tyres. The interior is in exceptional condition throughout. Under the bonnet the engine bay is beautifully detailed. Less than 1000 miles have been covered since the restoration was completed last year.
This Alfa's restoration alone cost substantially more than the asking price and we consider the result is perhaps the best Sprint in the country. If you've been searching for a Sprint of this calibre you should see this car.
