Terry Cook's Deco Rides fiberglass '39 Zephyr Coupe body on a Fat Man Fabrication chassis. Mustang II front end with power disc brakes and Wheelsmith 15" Artillery wheels. Ford 9-inch rear with drums. Air Ride Technologies automatic airbag suspension. Rack and pinion steering.
Paint is Corvette Cobalt Blue and Mercedes Pearl Silver with an Ox Blood pinstripe done by Bob Coslett. Extensive body rework to flush mount Mercedes headlights. 1936 Hudson tail lights. Authentic original '39 Lincoln Zephyr grille. Original Cloisonné Zephyr badges. Suicide doors.
Dash is all CNC machined and handmade with a '50 s Chrysler instrument cluster. Glide Engineering seat with grey glove leather. Colorado Customs billet steering wheel. JVC stereo and Sony speakers. Vintage A/C mounted in the trunk. Custom fabricated tube framework surround the inside of the body and roof for stability and strength. Electric windows.
Chevy ZZ 4 350 aluminum head V 8 with roller cams. Chevy 700 R 4-Speed automatic transmission with electronic overdrive. Smitty's exhaust with flamethrowers.
All work done by Troy Ladd of Hollywood Hot Rods. Featured on TLC's Rides. Seen at many NHRA events including the Winter Nationals in Pomona towing Don Garlits' Swamp Rat III in the Cacklefest Parade. Needs headliner and carpet to finish. Drives excellent with 55 total miles and a clean California title.
