MORRIS MINOR CONVERTIBLE MINI TOTALLY RESTORED for sale
Current customer rating:
This is a great looking and running Morris Minor.
The car was purchased by me from the original owners granddaughter in South Florida.
It had been sitting in a garage for many years guarded by dozens of baseball sized spiders we crackers refer to as "Wolfies" There was not one drop of damage to the interior. wiring or anything else for that matter.
Spiders like these can eat just about anything and they keep away all roaches. mice. etc.
I brought the car home on a flatbed and completely disassembled the car down to the shell.
There was not a drop of rust on the car.
The underside had been covered with a coating many years ago but there is no rust that it covered up.
All the glass was removed before painting and every square inch was painted.
Just about every part of this car was replaced with new parts.
From the window glass. all moldings. trim. most but not all the door hardware. outside door handles have not been replaced.
All chrome from the bumpers to the badges and trim pieces are new.
All new wiring and gauges.
New suspension parts from the shocks to the bushings. leaf springs to the hardware and nuts and bolts.
There are very few parts that are not new on this car.
The complete interior. seats. panels. carpet and convertible top all new.
New foam in the seats.
All brake parts are new.
Motor and transmission are like new and run accordingly.
The wheels including the spare have been powder coated and all five wheels are new radials.
There are a very few minor things you could do to make this car perfect.
Side mirror sucks.
Turn signal stem needs replaced.
Inside window sill tops are not perfect.
I have always intended to take it back to the painter and have them done over.
Never did get around to it.
This was a base coat clear coat job and in some minor areas the buffer got carried away.
All in all this is a very nice car.
I have over $17. 00 invested and did most of the work myself.
This will be a no reserve auction and unless you are offering me much more than the starting price. I have no intention of stopping the auction.
If that is the final price. it will be sold for that amount.
Thank you for viewing my auction.
If you would like to ask questions. please feel free to call me at .
I can be reached from 7 am to 7 pm eastern standard time.
