The Morris Minor was debuted at the Earls Court Motor Show in
London on 20 th September 1948.
Designed by Alec Issigonis. br/>more than 1. 3 million were manufactured between 1948 and
1971.
In 1952. the Morris Minor was updated with an
Austin-designed overhead valve. A-Series engine. replacing the
original side-valve power plant. Cosmetically the front wings and
grill were replaced. and the head lights moved from the grill to
the front wings. In 1952. in addition to the two and four door
saloon and the four-seat convertible. an estate version was
introduced. known as the Traveller. along with the van and pick-up
versions.
This very good 1954 Morris Minor two-door saloon was the subject
of a cosmetic restoration which started in June 2010 and completed
a year later. during which the floors were repaired and the car was
repainted it was also rewired and a number of electrical items
replaced. The brakes were overhauled. new tyres and inner tubes
fitted. new stainless-steel exhaust system and it had new carpets
throughout. Finished in green with green interior. this Morris
Minor is supplied with a V 5 C registration document and an old Mo T
test certificate. With its simplicity. reliability and ease of
repair due to parts being readily available. the Morris Minor is
the perfect entry to classic car ownership.
