The main photo is an example of a restored version of this vehicle and IS NOT the car being auctioned.

 

This car has been stored in a Florida garage since the late 60's.   The last registration of record is 1978. which means the car was not on the road in 1979.

 

The  owner was a local doctor. who drove the car regularly until the late 70's.   "Doc" passed away two years ago and the family is just now getting around to clearing the vast estate left behind.

 

I have inspected the car as thoroughly as possible without tearing it apart or putting it on a lift.   It appears to be rust-free and the body is in remarkably good condition.   Obviously. it needs a paint job; however. it is my opinion that very little actual body work is required other than prep work for painting.

 

There are two pressure dents on the driver's side door panels where something appears to have pushed against the outside of the car.   These dents are not creased or wrinkled.

 

The interior is in notably good condition.   The leather is soft and the seats are extremely comfortable to sit on.   There do not appear to be any imperfections in the upholstery.   The interior door panels will need attention.

 

I've been restoring Rolls Royce and Bentley for many years. so I know a little bit of what I'm talking about.   Admittedly. I know VERY little about Citroen. which is why I am not undertaking the restoration myself.

 

I have thoroughly researched this car and. much like Rolls and Bentley. the prices are all over the map.   Unrestored every-day-drivers in good running and physical condition start in the low to mid teens and go up from there.   Fully restored examples of this car can run into the mid 40's.

 

You get the car. all of the spare parts on the 5-shelf unit. the extra engine. the extra transmission. the parts catalog. both repair manuals. and all the dirt and grime for one price.

 

I have set a very reasonable reserve on the car. taking into consideration the considerable amount of work required to get this vehicle to above-average on the charts.

 

As far as restoration projects go. this one has a very solid foundation to begin with.   This car is miles ahead of some project cars I've seen.   It does not run. but I do know that when it did. it was driven on a daily basis.

 

The deposit must be paid immediately following the close of the sale and the balance within 7 days.   You will have 30 - 45 days after that to collect the car and everything that goes with it.   It's sitting in the same spot it has been for over 30 years.   Another month or two isn't a problem.

 

I have a clear title to the car.   It is not being sold through my dealership.   This is a private sale.   The family has no additional information on the car other than what I have told you here.

If you are the winning bidder in an auction or a “Buy It Now” purchaser. you must telephone 813-493-4073 within 24 hours after the auction or sale has ended to make arrangements to complete the transaction. A $200. 00 non-refundable deposit must be paid immediately after winning an auction or completing a sale using “Buy It Now. ”Payment in full must be received within seven (7) calendar days after the end of an auction or sale. Any changes to the policies outlined in this section must be agreed to in writing before you bid or you will be expected to comply fully with these requirements. TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATIONS:

 SALES TAX:

Florida residents must pay Florida State sales tax.   This tax is collected at the following rate:

7% of the first $5. 00. 006% of the remaining balance.

Out-of-state residents must pay sales tax at your state's current rate if you pick the car up yourself.   We are not required to collect sales tax on vehicles that are shipped out of state on a commercial transport.   We must have a bill of lading from the transport company to present to the Sales Tax Office or you will be charged.   If we do collect sales tax here. you will not be required to pay sales tax again when you register the car at home.

 

REGISTRATION AND TITLE FEES:

Florida residents must pay all Florida State fees associated with Tag. Title. Transfer and Registration. Out of state residents are not required to pay any fees in the State of Florida. There is a $59. 00 fee if we issue a 30-day Temporary License Plate for your vehicle. regardless of where you are taking the car.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

All Buyers are required to provide the following documents BEFORE taking possession of any vehicled purchased:

A valid insurance card or policy Binder from your insurance carrier showing the policy number and VIN# of the vehicle you purchased. A copy. front and back. of the drivers' license of each person to be listed on the purchase order and tiltle of the vehicle you purchased. If the address on the license is different from the addres where the car is to be registered. you will need to provide that information BEFORE picking up the vehicle.
