My 1971 Triumph Stag Mk 1 in Old English White

This iconic classic comes with a full MOT with no advisories and a years road tax (which is free being a 1971 car).

The engine is a Triumph 2500 cc straight 6 with 4 speed gearbox.

The bodywork / chassis are in excellent condition without any rot. the underside has been undersealed and although the bodywork has a few marks here and there it is in lovely condition.

The interior is very good with new carpets. walnut dash. the front seats have a couple of small tears the biggest being the drivers side approx. 25 mm tear. the rear seat is excellent. all the gauges work and the mileage reads 42870 but I would suspect it's 100 K on top of that.

The car comes with both soft top (blue mohair. see photos)and hard top. the soft top and frame are removed from the car as my next job was to strip the frame of paint. straighten some of the arms. respray and refit the soft top (this will come with the sale but will not be fitted).

The gearbox is fitted with a overdrive but at present this is not working. the solenoid was replaced and this is working electrically but still the overdrive does not engage so this requires further investigation.

The engine number is MM 25828 HE making it a 2500 TC engine. this was reconditioned in May 2009 along with a new battery and alternator. New contact points. condenser cap etc were replaced in July 2012. The Carbs were rebuild as well as an axle oil change. coolant change. gearbox oil change engine oil / filter change in August 2013. I fitted new Accuspark plugs this year.

There is some history with the car (ten old MOT's. bills etc) as well as Haynes manual and a few spares.

This is a lovely old car ready for the summer and I have priced to sell.
