Renault 4 L Van (Fourgon)
The previous owner bought this in France. and when he moved back to the UK could not bear to part with it so brought it back.
I bought this when he realised he was not using it and what was a perfect body and chassis was starting to show some rust where the rain was getting in through perished 35 year old door seals.
A good friend who is a professional body man with 45 years experience (as much as the car!) was brought out of retirement and he fixed the small amount of floorpan rust then painted the body. The inside of the shell is original - but the outside and underneath are pretty much better than new.
The car is showing 73. 00 km - just over 40. 00 miles. I believe this to be genuine as there are bills going back to 1993 and notations in the handbook showing all its services - which look pretty complete! It drives like a 40. 00 car.
Modifications:
I replaced the grille with the earlier alloy model.
I fitted a set of Renault 5 Alpine Turbo wheels and new tyres - but the original are with the car.
Seats re-trimmed as original.
Period replica sports steering wheel.
I can put a fresh French CT on it for the cost of the test (€55). but this will pass a C. T. or M. O. T. without issue.
On the button. and turns heads like no other van.
Great for a business advert or as a run-around and practical and economical too.

The van can be in Surrey for the end of June for a fee of £200. (via a friend returning to the uk)

We are interested with the proviso that the vehicle needs to have a current valid carte grise. Also how long has it been out of use? We are in France and able to travel to collect. Willing to pay the price if the car looks as good in reality as it does in the photos.
