1961 TRUIMPH TR 4
ONE OF THE OLDEST UNRESTORED TR 4. This VIN number is CT 1107 making it an very earlier production 1961 car . The body number is 1023 and it has unique features such as the radiator with built in header tank . all the clocks have domed glass instead of the flat glass . The car was found in Navada USA and the last owner had it from 1982 . the car was shipped to the UK in 2014 all the taxes and duties have been paid with the intention of restoring it back to former glory . but just purchased a 1959 Austin Healey 3000 . so don't have the space for two restoration projects .
The car needs a full restoration please use the pictures to form part of the description .
Bodywork Front half of both floor pans will need replacing . panel damage near/side front and rear wings ( but very solid) off/side of car good condition . except for outer sill under door. bonnet and front panel are not original to this car and have been changed . but in good condition . nner wings front and back good .
front valance and bumper missing .
Seats in the car but may be off TR 6 . spare wheel with the car.
Boot floor in good condition . rear tub good . Engine Was told the engine did run . but not tested . turns over freely . Gearbox untested but goes into gear easy . All the glass in good condition . soft top frame is present . but no hood . chassis seems in good condition . General trim will need replacing . Tried to be honest as I can . the car is waiting for a new owner who appreciates the historical significance to own a early tr 4 .
