First date of registration 1 st January 1922. In three months it will be it's 100 th birthday. Selling on behalf of my father who is reducing his collection , text below written by him ....Purchased by my Father in August 2006 from the 2 nd owner Andre Jacqueson who lived in Autun. Andre bought it from his nextdoor neighbour Msr. E. Defranoux, 9, Du Faubourg D'Arroux, Autun. Msr. Defranoux went for the deluxe version which had the extra acetylene headlamps that were supplied with a pressurised cylinder by MAGONDEAU, "L'Air Liquide". This could be refilled at a local garage instead of using a carbide generator.During the second world war it was stored in a barn behind no. 9, covered by a tarpaulin and hidden with straw so as not to be discovered by the Nazis. In 1954 Andre extracted the car from its hiding and used it infrequently during the summer months and also featured it in the film "Sampigny-les-Maranges." Returning to Limoges in August 2006 the car had a tendency to overheat. I think this was due to the merlot in the radiator and it also rumbled a little. I dismantled the engine and cleaned the interior of the block, removing remnants of the merlot, casting sand and interior flashing. All this improved the thermosyphon cooling that it did not overheat again. The rumble was tracked down to the front and rear roller bearing main bearings. These were replaced, resulting in a very quiet engine. The big ends and cylinder bores were in excellent condition. Needless to say that all the original nuts and bolts were replaced. Thereafter I used the Quadrilette for 10 years in France during the holidays and covered many miles.The V 5 C is present.. An excellent running car in true vintage fashion. All the paint is original having never been touched up. Original carpets, seats, trim and roof. Woodwork in excellent condition. Complete with a factory graded wooden dipstick for the fuel gauge. I returned the car to England and re registered it in 2016. 668 cc. 4 cylinder non detachable cylinder head. A rare opportunity to purchase what will be a 100 year old totally original light car .
