Toyota Sports 800
Model Toyota Sports 800 is the first sports car of the Japanese company Toyota, first introduced at the Tokyo motor show in 1962. Despite this, the production of the Toyota Sports 800 started only in 1965. The model was produced in 2-door types of the body "Roadster" and "compartment".
Toyota Sports 800 had a 2-cylinder 790 cubic engine with dual carburetor, the capacity of which amounted to 45 horsepower. The engine was equipped with a system of forced-air cooling. The car developed a speed of up to 160 km/hour on the race track. Aerodynamic design allowed Toyota Sports 800 is not only fast, but also quite flexible machine.
Almost all cars Toyota Sports 800 were pravorulnymi, however, for the export of manufactured and levorulnye model. During the period of production of the car underwent minor changes in the design. All was made 3131 copies of the Toyota Sports 800, only 10% of them were not implemented on the territory of Japan. Production of the Toyota Sports 800 finally ceased in 1969.
