This is a rare left hand drive 1972 Daimler Sovereign 4. 2 L XJ 6 which I bought in Athens in 2010. I drove it to the UK and then spent time reconditioning the engine. (Rebore. new pistons. rings and bearings. ) As shown in the photographs. the body and interior are in very good condition. Unfortunately. I scratched the passenger side door when reversing into my garage. It is a very minor scratch which I have hand painted over. As you can see from the photographs. the chrome bumpers are beginning to show some signs of minor surface rust due to the car being parked outside during the winter.

There is a radio in the car but the electric antenna does not work. I have also removed the AED (automatic choke) because it was not shutting down when the engine warmed up. I have had no problem starting the car without a choke.

The left hand fuel tank sender unit is not properly sealed and causes a bit of a fuel smell when the tank is filled. but I am sure all it needs is a new gasket as both tanks were repaired as part of the refurbishing.

The car has been through two MOT's since I refurbished it. without any problems whatsoever. I have three other classic cars and just do not have the space to keep it.

Remember. there is no road tax payable on this vehicle.
