1967 Classic Car
The car is subject to a previous restoration a few years ago. has been looked after and garaged. The body work is clean as is the interior. Chrome work not bad. slightly dull in places. Tyres are all nearly new. New head gasket was fitted two years ago and cylinder head skimmed at the same time.
We had a few problems with points and distributor and decided to have a complete new electronic ignition system fitted (approx cost £650). The brakes have been overhauled. however. there is a little squeel noise in dry weather from the rear brakes (not uncommon). The lucas fuel pump has also been replaced as it had let us down in the past.
When driving the car as is common with alot of automatics. you sometimes have to take your foot off the accelorator pedal and allow the gear box to change gear. I also need to mention that there is no power steering fitted to this car.
To sum up this is a very attractive looking car and nearly always starts first time. There is currently no MOT on the car but should it be sold for more than £5000 we would be happy to provide an MOT certificate. otherwise it will be sold to the highest bidder who will be responsable for arrangement of transport. If necessary we can deliver on transporter trailer at a cost to be negotiated.
