Dodge WC51 weapons carrier 1942 ww2 wc 51 lhd left hand drive not jeep for sale

Dodge WC51 Weapons Carrier.

Used to carry troops. tow guns and general load lugging during ww2

These are bigger than a jeep but still easy to drive on the  road.

This is a 1942 WC51 that is complete except for the canvas hood. these are available and cost about £350.

All parts for these vehicles are available from specialists and are not huge amounts of money and there is great support from the various clubs.

This Dodge is still 6 volts and has a new battery.   It starts. drives and stops.   All the tyres hold air and are in reasonable condition and tread but it would benifit from new ones.

The exhaust manifold gasket is blowing. nbsp; (I think I have a gasket set for the engine. if  can find it I will include it in the sale).

There is a winter heater fitted in the passenger footwell.

There is no rot in the bulkhead. just some surface rust and the rear tub is generally sound. it has had some repairs. but it is over 70 years old

The rear hoops for the canvas are included.

I have the original radiator. a spare water pump (as the one on the engine has some play in the bearings) and there is a spare rear axle as well.

I imported the dodge from a private owner in Norway with the full intention of getting the Dodge on the road and enjoying visiting some shows with it

Alas this did not happen. it has been dried stored whilst in the Uk but I have now lost my storage and it is very reluctantly for sale.

I have all the import papers. the Norwegian registration certificate and the proof that all import duties have been paid by me.

There is no Uk registration certificate. this will have to be applied for by the new owner once the vehicle has been made road worthy and inspected. one of the many

military clubs can help with this aspect.

As I said before this is a very reluctant sale as I have always wanted one of these fantastic dodge's but realistcally with the loss of storage and lack of time I will not get it done for a few years and it is such a shame to see such a solid WC51 not back on the road where it belongs.

This will be a great starting point for a full restoration or just do enough to get it road legal and enjoy some shows as it not a basket case that needs thousands of pounds and hours spent on it.

If you have any questions or want some more pictures please ask.

I can deliver at cost in the Uk or ship worldwide (any costs/fees and import duties must be met by the buyer) delivery in the Uk is £1. 00 per mile

No paypal payment. Payment is to be made by cash. cheque or bank transfer.   The vehicle will not be released until payment has cleared.

Contact is to be made within 3 days of the auction end. otherwise I will relist and the winner will lose the vehicle.

Location is near J25 of the M25. Enfield-North london

For some reason the pictures will not upload. I will keep trying.
