1968 Fiat 500 (Cinquecento). I am selling this car for a friend. He bought it from Vincenzo Abbonizio in January 2003 in Lanciano (Chieti). Italy. The car was then imported to Sarasota. FL. Vincenzo is a "500" aficionado and restorer. He sources the best parts from 4 or 5 cars and then makes one. This rust free body. which the VIN number refers to. is a 1968. which he used to construct the car. The car was custom ordered in red with a red and black interior. It also has the more powerful 599 cc engine which was completely rebuilt at the time of the restoration. The paint color is authentic Formula 1 Ferrari Red. The reason Vincenzo had access to this proprietary paint color is that at the time Vincenzo's son worked on the Ferrari Formula 1 team. In fact. Vincenzo has also built a Cinquecento for Michael Schumacher. The car runs and rides perfectly. It is recently out of storage and has had a full service including a complete tune-up and all the fluids changed. The car has been driven 2175 kilometers since the restoration. The car has been detailed and is ready to show or drive anywhere. There are a few imperfections in the paint from being in storage and one small dent in the right side fender (see photo). Other than that it is in great shape. The car is located in Sarasota. Florida. can be inspected anytime and has a clean Florida title.
