First time on sale in 42 years. this "Barn Find" Bentley R Type is extraordinary.
Mechanics

Although unused for many years the car retains a current MOT. valid until May this year. During a mechanical overhaul during 2009 the engine was overhauled including the head removed & inspected. brake overhaul including re-sleeving of the brake slave cylinders. new radiator & new stainless steel exhaust.
It is therefore in sound mechanical condition which is important with these cars.  However the starter motor requires attention as it will only start on the handle.  (We can quote on fixing this if required)

Bodywork
While the car requires a full cosmetic overhaul to the exterior. it is very solid. with excellent door gaps. & great door closing. They all fit & work great.  
Interior
The interior which looks to me like it is original requires attention. but is all there & could be used as it is.

The last R Type I sold as a "Barn Find" we achieved £23. 00. so this car with a much lower reserve represents a great opportunity to acquire this much sought after model.  With prices of restored examples reaching £50. 00 + there is also the opportunity for the buyer to create some considerable equity.

We can quote on a full respray if required & any other restoration works on this car either in part or in full.
