Incredibly Kool. this rig will stun you with it's

superb quality and attention grabbing presence. Dripping

with Traditional Old School style combined with a dash

of modern color. this all steel 41 Ford pick-up brings

it all together in one mighty fine package. Resting on a very thorough and complete body off restoration. the

owner set out to design a rig that maintained its

original body style. chassis and even it's original

flathead V 8 engine. only hopped up a bit :-) Wonderfully

Fun. let's dig a little deeper.

During the restoration. the original California all

steel body was removed from the factory chassis.

stripped to bare metal and massaged to perfection by the

owner and "County Rod Shop". Utilizing all

of the factory steel body/cab/fenders/hood/doors and

completed with steel reproduction bedsides & rear

tailgate for the ultimate in whistle straight lines

(

see

restoration photos

).

Once ready. all body components were delivered to "House

of Customs" in Lancaster. Ca for a professional 2 stage

PPG Evening Blue finish.

All

factory jewelry was professionally re-plated and/or

replaced with available NOS components. Other notes

included an additional stock rear tail-lamp. hand

finished hardwoods. hidden tailgate hardware/cables and

rolling on Gennie 15" wheels with wide white radials.

Lookin good.

The original vin#

matching chassis received the same level of serious

attention. sand blasted & painted prior to assembly.

Plenty of engineered components from "Chassis

Engineering" brings the entire traditional ride package

together including forged 4" dropped front axle. easy

rider multi leaf buggy spring. front sway bar. new bolt

on x-member & split wishbone kit. parallel mount

rear leaf springs. F/R gas shocks. Flaming River Vega

steering box. front Power Disc brake kit. Volare

rotors/GM calipers and Ford 9" non-posi rear

differential w/3:25 to 1 ratio. Let's move along.

Under the hood and

transferring power is "The Original 1941" matching # 239

cid engine block professionally rebuilt by well known "H

& H Flatheads" of La Crescenta. California. Build facts

include 3. 1875 bore. stroked 3. 75. 9. 0 to 1 compression

ratio. Silvolite pistons w/Hastings rings. resized rods.

Camshaft 350 lift - 274 duration and balanced

rotating mass. Additional vintage performance goodies

include aluminum "Offenhauser" cylinder heads. aluminum

dual "Offy" intake manifold. dual "Stromberg" 97 carbs.

chrome louvered K & N air filters. billet "Mallory"

distributor & ignition. "Fenton" headers. dual exhaust

with "Smitty's" mufflers and high-amp 12 V gen/alternator

and "Flat-O-Matic" bell housing with Ford C 4 Automatic

transmission. Rappidy Rapp! Rappidy Rapp! There is no

better classic sound.

Hop inside. the

interior retains much of it's stock appearance and

period simplicity. Features include supple gray Leather

seating sewn by "Randy's Custom Upholstery" of

Lancaster. California. adjustable "Glide Engineering"

seat. body color dash. 12 V re-furbished factory

instruments. updated "Painless" wiring. vintage turn

signal controls. "Tri-C Engineering" tilt steering

column w/billet drop. "Wheel Shoppe" banjo steering

wheel. functional spot light. Ford script radio delete
