Contact details: Mobile 07983700839  It is with great regret that I've decided to put my pride and joy up for sale. A very hard decision but I will be losing my garage shortly. I have too many cars. and simply dont get the chance to drive this one as much as I would like.  I have owned the car for around 18months and absolutley love it. This is an extremely rare factory manual. NOT the dog leg close ratio version either. This is a very driveable car.  It has been loved and cared for most of its life and I have a huge file of past work. mot's receipts etc and a service book stamped cover to cover. The car was previously owned by a millionaire (no joke) and prior to him it was owned by a Cosworth engine builder based in Northampton. The car runs spot on and I have driven it the length and breadth of the country several times without a single problem. Stunning long distance tourer and the manual gearbox makes it all the more special.

 ENGINE/DRIVETRAIN
Engine. gearbox. diff are all good no unusual noises or hesitation during acceleration. Having had an E36 M3 previous to this car I wasn't expecting this car to pull as well. but the torque from the silky smooth 6 cylinder 3. 5 litre engine is immense. Overtaking is a joy and this will leave many modern cars a bit suprised! Exhaust has a blow on the mid section but it was my intention to replace the system with a stainless one to finish the car off. Fantastic tourer as mentioned. the car will sit at motorway speed with ease and has plenty power in reserve. MPG isn't as bad as you'd think either hitting mid 30's on a long run. The manual gearbox makes a difference too. In the past 6 months its had a new high quality battery. new genuine Bosch ICV (£150) new air intake hoses genuine from BMW (£50). engine service around 2000 miles ago. new front springs for the MOT. New bonnet lifters. as the old ones were getting lazy.
 EXTERIOR
The body is very tidy as can be seen and polishes up lovely. It isn't perfect. there is a small amount of rust bubbling on the passenger arch and on the rear passenger corner below the light. but other then that it is very straight. please see photos.  Doors are nice and solid as are the wings. All the chrome is very good with no rust that I've found. I really would suggest viewing the car to see for yourself.  I also fitted a set of genuine BBS style 5 alloys from an 8 series which set the car off even more finished in this colour. I have yet to pull into a petrol station without people commenting on it. They aren't mint (some corrosion to a lacquer on a couple of them) but still look the part and have good tread tyres fitted. These wheels alone will fetch upwards of £600.
 INTERIOR
In the past few years it has had the entire recaro interior retrimmed in lovely beige leather to a very high standard. Carpets are like new. with matching overmats. all in beautiful condition. I have also fitted a genuine Alpina rosewood gearknob. again in immaculate condition. Electric windows front and rear (very cool) and electric sunroof all working. When I got the car the switches worked intermittently. so I got some from an early nineties E30 which are all fully working (and exactly the same) Working trip computer and no faults indicated on the dash. Electric aerial fitted fully working. which rises and falls with the stereo being turned on (personally think this is very cool!) It has an original first aid kit in the rear all complete. torch in the glovebox and the majority of the tools in the tool pouch. Barely used jack and original wheel brace with full size original alloy spare wheel. The car has cruise control but currently won't engage. something to do with a connection on the stalk so I've been told. Hasn't bothered me as its far too much fun driving it manually! SUMMARYThis car is not mint. but would not take much effort to get it there. It has been well loved during its life. and the stack of history I have for the car shows this. please ask if you'd like some photos. I could use the space and the cash would be a help. but I'm not desperate (sorry typical ebay line) and will not be accepting silly offers. You are welcome to come and view the car and I would probably insist on this if you are a serious buyer. Stevenage is right next to the A1 junction 7/8 depending which direction you are coming from. 15 minutes from junction 23 of the M25. If you intend to make an offer please contact me first before submitting it to me.  Delivery is possible anywhere in the UK mainland by myself. If you would like this then it will be at a pre agreed price with a substantial deposit paid via bank transfer.  Please do not mess me about.
