KINGFISHER KUSTOMS SAND RAIL - LIKE UVA FUGITIVE - BUGGY VW BEETLE BASED KIT CAR

This is the first of a bit of a clear out due to a new house purchase.  

This is my VW Kingfisher Kommando Rail (similar to UVA Fugitive)

This is based on a Swing axle VW Beetle and has Volkswagen running gear.

It is a 2 seater off road Buggy (Beach Buggy. Sand Rail etc)

This is Road legal and Registered properly as 1972 Kingfisher Kommando (L Reg) - The V5 Says "KINGFISHER KOMMANDO" "LIGHT 4 x 4 UTILITY" "HISTORIC VEHICLE"

(not on a Q plate like so may of these!)

It has MOT to 31/10/14

It has Tax to 31/10/14

It registered as a "historic vehicle" so free tax!

It was off the road for over 20 years until last October.

In October 2013 it was given  -  new Battery. New Brake hoses. Cylinders and shoes all round. new axle Gaiters and full engine service (Oil. Leads. plugs. Points. Rotor Arm. Condensor. Dist Cap) and more.  

The engine is a 1600cc Twin port with external oil cooler and filter

 the tyres are chunky off road things and it loves a bit of mud! - not so goon on a damp road!

It is back on the road for the 1st time since 1992

I hadnt intended to sell it quite yet as I intended to do a few miles in it and take it properly off road before sale but to be honest it hasnt been the weather to be driving it . until today. so today I've done about 20 miles and nothing fell off.   I havent done any long journeys in it yet.

It hasnt yet done enough miles for the brakes to bed in - when they have they will need re- adjustment.

It is loud. Bumpy. Uncomfortable - GREAT FUN!

It gets smiles and waves where ever you go.

If it rains you get wet.

It has no brake servo. no Side impact bars. no air bags etc.

If this is the car for you then you will already know that you like something a bit different.

The seats are very narrow. so not suitable as is for a larger person.

I will add info as and when I think of it - please ask sensible questions.

The Buggy is registered to me. here at my address and will be put into the buyers name - no exceptions.

If you do not know what you are doing then. please dont buy it.   or at least get help from a grown-up when looking at it.

I dont bite. nor will I give you the hard sell. I just want the right person to buy it. some one who will appreciate it for what it is.

I am lucky enough to deal with the public for a job and so I am fully aware of all of the people who want something for nothing. time wasters. Tyre kickers etc and those who think they are the centre of the universe. please. please dont waste my time. I don't need an urgent sale and so will sell it to a nice polite person . life is easier that way.
