1928 Ahrens–Fox NS 4 Fire Truck.

Ahrens-Fox has long since been considered the Rolls Royce of Fire Trucks.

They are both rolling works of art and remarkably capable. This was the best equipment to have for the firehouse and as such. has become the envy of collectors world wide.

This beautiful example is being offered for sale for the first time since being acquired buy a charitable foundation for their museum in 1999.

It was originally commissioned in 1928 for the Biddeford Maine fire department. We have some of the original registrations and copies of articles from the time. After being acquired by the Reid Family Foundation in 1999. the fire truck was the subject of an extensive restoration by Firefly Restorations with documentation for this work.

Great attention to detail was made with the duplication of the original paint scheme and hand laid gold leafing.

The result was a stunning example that has been the treasured center piece of the collection for more than a decade. The truck is powered by an amazing T head. 998 cubic inch. 6 cylinder engine with dual ignition. This truck has been recently serviced and fires right up with an impressive roar. It has been shown at various events including the prestigious Meadowbrook Concours d”elegance. Please note that the mileage shown on the odometer is not accurate as the speedometer no longer operates.
