SELLER REMARKS

This 1966 Dodge Charger doesn't make a single wrong move. It's nicely preserved. packs a 383 inch big block and factory A/C. and with a great color combination it's a choice alternative to the later cars at a fraction of the price. How can something so cool be so affordable?

The first owner of this Charger did it right when he filled out the order form. This car is a fine combination of performance and luxury. all wrapped in a classically styled fastback package. With 84. 51 miles showing on the clock and given the car's amazingly well-preserved condition. we have no reason to believe that the mileage is not accurate. The condition of the sheetmetal certainly suggest a very well-maintained original car that's been loved all its life. as everything has a tight feel that only the best original cars seem to offer. The styling is admittedly an all-or-nothing proposition. but the white serves it well and gives it a sporty attitude. The chrome and trim is likewise original and coming up on 50 years old. but remains bright. and that fine-toothed grille with hidden headlights would go on to become a Charger trademark. The single-element taillight that spans the entire rear of the car is in great condition. so be sure to take care of it. because it's unobtainium today.

The burgundy bucket seat interior is almost all new. compliments of the pros at Legendary. The bucket seats have a horizontal pleat look that's really unique and fresh carpets make it feel plush as you're climbing in. The center console has bright stainless trim and a matching armrest. which is a rather unusual feature that most cars of the period seemed to omit. Those very cool gauges with their exterior markings are original and still look good. matched by a clock down low on the center console. The factory AM radio still lives in the center of the dash. right below the controls for the A/C system. which is neatly integrated into the dash and not a tacked-on under-dash setup like many cars of the era. There's a second set of buckets and a center console for rear-seat passengers as well. which makes the Charger a unique piece of early muscle. There's also a massive storage area behind those rear seats. under the giant fishbowl of a rear window. plus a good-sized trunk with full-sized spare.

Mechanically. this car has been comprehensively serviced and filled with new components. The original. numbers-matching 383 remains under the hood. the 4-barrel now replaced by a more economical 2-barrel carburetor and proper Mopar intake manifold. and it still looks quite stock. It starts with that characteristic Chrysler whir followed by a nice V8 bark from the twin Flowmasters. The A/C has a new dryer unit and R134a refrigerant. there's a fresh radiator up front. and the water pump is a high-performance unit that effortlessly keeps it all cool. In fact. all the accessories are new. including the alternator and power steering pump. and the entire brake system has been rebuilt. The 727 Torqueflite 3-speed automatic transmission is linked to 3. 55 gears on a limited slip. so you know the original owner knew what he was doing. Rare factory spinner hubcaps are fitted to 14-inch steel wheels with 225/70/14 blackwall radials.

This Charger is extremely impressive and runs even better than it looks. An unusual survivor with great options. this is how you make a grand entrance. Call today!
