Offered here for sale is this fabulous 1970 Austin Mini. This car started life as a Mini 1000 but it has been totally restored and rebuilt to fast road specification. During the restoration the shell was rebuilt with new floor panels. sills. front wings. idow chanels and seals. nd a safety devices rear roll cage and a new laminated front windscreen were fitted. The shell was then fully resprayed in Antelope / champagne with a white roof. The running gear was restored with a new rear subframe. rebuilt rear suspension with Cooper S drums. uprated shock absorbers. Aeroquip brake lines. he front subframe was overhauled with genuine Cooper S uprights. reconditioned drive shafts and new bearings. new Cooper S type brake calipers. and aeroquip brake lines and adjustable front suspension. Further modifications include a Cooper S type remote gearbox. lightweight flywheel. fast road clutch. a later type large fuel tank. a rebuilt 1275 cc engine rebored to 1310 cc. with Cooper S type camshaft. Duplex gears and Damper type pulley. a 12 G 940 cylinder head. a 1 and three quarter inch HIF carburettor with K&N air filter. Maniflow LCB extractor manifold and matching exhaust system. rebuilt radiator and cooling system. Cobra bucket seats with full harnesses. ev counter and 10" Mini lite style alloys. with Works type narrow wheel arches. This great little pocket rocket would cost thousand upon thousands to recreate.
