BEAUTIFUL TWICE MAGAZINE FEATURED VOLKSWAGEN 1303S BEETLE GOLD. for sale
Current customer rating:
Received some history info from previous owner stating the bug was restored and resprayed in 1988 and dry garaged ever since and still in great condition It was featured over three pages in VW Motoring magazine - I think it was the January 1990 issue - and it also appeared in an article in Bug Power magazine.
The car is an original 03 s but unfortunately the engine has been swapped out at some point to a 1300 cc. There is very little evidence of past welding and it currently needs no welding the floors and channels are not patched anywhere the battery area and the Aposts are all solid. This is the cleanest 1303 I have ever worked on.
The front strut towers have had repairs in the past but done well. if it wasn't for the slight over spray and miss match in paint i would not have noticed. they have not been patched. they have had the rot cut out and repaired properly. The car was repainted in 88 so it does have a couple of paint flaws. The front passenger wing has had a mild scrape approx 2"x 4" and been blown in. The paint match isnt 100% i'll get a pic. The bonnet has a stone chip that has been touched in and there is the odd mild area of paint bubble but tat said. it is a very clean car for its age. The car has mk 2 golf front high back seats but other than that and a couple of original dash gauges. smoked taillights and stainless steel exhaust it is pretty original. The bug is mildly lowered and handles very well for it.
Will be supplied with 12 months mot and will be tax free from april 1 st. More photo's will be added shortly.
