MOD Land rover Defender 110 Extreme weather Daihatsu conversion for sale

Ex MOD Land rover Defender 110 extreme weather version with 2. 8 TD Daihatsu fourtrack engine fitted. When I got his vehicle it was a non runner with the standard 2. 5 NA diesel and was in a really bad way. However after a LOT of work it was up a nd running and has been used by our selfs as a call out vehicle for the business but has come to be that we are not in need of this vehicle so it reluctantly has to go. Has 10 months MOT. no tax. but could be taxed before collection at buyers expense. So as statted it has been converted to a 2. 8 TD engine from a 2001 Daihatsu fourtrak with low millage. although these engines are bomb proof hence why it was fitted using a Milner offroad conversion bell housing that you cant ever get anymore. It also has the seats from daihatsu fitted for extra comfort. As this is the EXTREME weather model it has additional heater pipes that run to the back of the vehicle where there are radiators that run along under the sides and additional radiator in the battery compartment. very nice and warm.

Breaks are very sharp. There are a few problems with this being an ongoing project. wines in 5 th gear. battery goes flat if power not isolated. universal key used for ignition (flat head screw driver) starter sticks if not used for a while. bit of blistering in paint but not really bad but as said is a work horse. Will make someone a good solid truck with a bit of finishing of. Very solid chassis and body all under sealed. Viewing and questions welcome. Please no time wasters.
