For sale is my lovely 1959 Wolseley 15/60 in Yukon grey with red leather interior. lots of money spent on this car by me and the previous owner. recent new clutch and four new tires. fitted with stainless exhaust. ready to drive anywhere. no road tax or mot needed but will take the car for a new mot if the new owner would prefer. cash on collection or by cheque car can then be collected when cheque is cleared in my bank. delivery can be arranged at the buyers expense. The Wolseley 15/60 was launched in 1958 and produced until 1961 when it was replaced with the 16/60. Like the rest of the Farina range it was significantly better than anything the competition had to offer and beautifully built. This car is a 1959 model in its original colour of Yukon Grey with red leather upholstery. The mileage is correct at 73k. It has had just 3 owners from new and carried its original registration number TSG 346. The last owner subjected the body to a complete renovation of the highest standard and it is in beautiful condition on top and underneath. The chrome and bright-work are original and excellent and the interior which is also original is in good order. the engine bay is clean ready to drive and show. On the road this 55 year old Wolseley runs and drives superbly. The 15/60 is one of the rarest BMC models. almost impossible to find and practical to own and run. recent new clutch fitted four new tires and two rear shock absorbers. the car also has a stainless exhaust. Please remember you are not bidding on a new car you are bidding on a 55 year old car in very good condition. bidders with feed back less than 20 please contact me before bidding. no silly offers if the car doesn't make the starting bid I will keep her. I would consider a part x for a rover p5 coupe. I remember walking passed this car every day on the high street on my way to the work at the bank in well heeled North Berwick, East Lothian. It was there till just a few years ago. I loved looking in the window to it's luxurious interior. It seemed to survive the sea air very well unlike my 1.1 Fiesta which went into holes. I do hope it can come back to Scotland or East Lothian some day where it belongs. Nice to see it's still on the road.
