1937 GMC 1/2 ton pickup.

I can't believe I found one and I can't believe I'm selling one.  But I was being too selfish. To make it short we're going to build a 4 passenger hot rod so the wifey can tag along with me and the kids doing "car stuff". I found this running truck locally about 6 months ago.  Original and complete body. Stock frame. Clipped mustang II (manual) rack. disc brakes. front sway bar. standard springs and shocks.  Rearend is a Chevy 10 bolt /leaf suspension. rear drums. nbsp;No rear shocks have been mounted.  Centerline stealth wheels.  Front 15x7. w/new 205/50-15. Rear 15x7. w/new 215/65-15 tires. The wheels are cool. They look like a dished mooneye wheel disc cover. Cruise this baby around Bonneville during speed week. ROCK STAR.  Chevy 350 with edelbrock intake manifold. holley carb. headers. nbsp;flowmasters. finned air cleaner. Turbo 350 transmission. Nice sheetmetal.  Surprisingly both windows row down smoothly.  Both glass sides will need to be replaced. Factory door locks still work. Doors close easily. Front windshield crank is not working. The rear passenger fender will need some work. At some point the fender was spot welded in a few areas probably just to keep it in place.

The truck was running when I picked it up with my ramp truck. Only drove it around the lot at my shop then it was stored inside. It will need some brake work. That tiny master is not cutting it. You'll need to convert to a late model style and mount it on the frame rail. TCI sells a bolt in deal along with the pedal. Remember all the brakes are there. I would change out the column to make it look correct for the truck. It looks like a late model out of a monte carlo.

It's interesting that the truck has current 1960's black and yellow plates. And commerical too. That would mean that the truck was still running into the 60's (1963-early1970) and last tagged in 2005. Great start to building a really cool and rare truck. How many running 37 GMC's have you seen? Yeah that's what I thought. I've only seen them restored for big bucks or have spotted a rusty cab at a swap meet.  Currently titled. registered and insured.  Will gladly assist in international shipping.  Happy New Year to everyone!!! Let's all promise to take out our hot rods as much as possible. Pinky swear. I get that from my kids.
