78 Volkswagen Type 2 Bus.
The Volkswagen type 2 is credited in bringing forward control that caused other manufacturers to change their designs in order to compete. Known by many names including but not limited to “Microbus”. “Minibus” probably the most enduring name happened during the counterculture revolution of the 1960's. “Hippie Van”! So enduring is this series that the last factory producing T 2's is scheduled to close December 31. 2013.
This T 2 bus is equipped with a 2. 0 liter 4 cylinder engine. The manual transmission helps getting you started no matter where your adventure takes you. This seven seat passenger van has complete interior. This is a project that was started and not completed. Still need window put back in ignition switch fixed and just a complete mechanical gone over. She looks great from the outside but will new plenty of work to make this the fun driver she deserves to be.
