This is for a rare 1985 BMW 3-Series E 30-325 E BAUR TC. There were only 10,856 cars converted. 1660 323 i's and only 430 325 e models. BMW officially only sold 7 Baur E 30's through the US dealer network.

I began to add some rare parts like the M tech 1 side skirts and a euro rear apron.

I replaced the euro M 3 style fog lights since the older ones were pitted out.

The paint on the front of the car was a bit worn and I did not want to retain the front federalized side marker lights, so since I did not plan on repainting the car, I replaced the front fenders and hood from a nice donor car in Alpinweiss which nicely cleaned up the front of the car.

In addition,

I put on cleaner front and rear euro bumpers since the original ones had lost their chrome luster.

The car currently has 224,170 miles on the odometer.

It drives so well and with the proper care and maintenance to the entire car, it truly drives like an E 30 with under 100 k miles.In 2015 I had an S 14 installed in the car and ran it for 5,000 miles with that power plant.

The original M 20 B 27 motor was properly stored until it was reinstalled in the car in November of this year.

At that time the following was done during the reinstalation of its original power plant :-New OEM BMW Timing belt kit-Liquimoly oil change-Spark Plugs-Coolant-New Muffler/Exhaust-Original 5 Speed Getrag-Transmission fluid While I am making a list, here are some key hot buttons about the car:-Black leather seats (Actual M 3 front seats from an 89 M 3 and rear leather pass through bench seat)-M Tech 1 OEM side skirts (Rare)-Rear EURO Apron (Rare)-3 Spoke Sport steering wheel-M sport backing Euro Clock-Euro Headlights with working CITY LIGHTS-NEW OEM Sport Trunk spoiler-NEW OEM Rubber roof seals (NO LEAKS)-14" BBS Sport Weaves wheels-Crack free dash-Bilstein Shocks-Vogtland Springs-Blaupunkt Period head unit with Aux plug wire-BMW Front Rubber floor mats-2.93 open differential-Full tool kit-All A/C is there and converted to R 134.

I took pictures of the baur with the top section removed and stored in the trunk with the OEM Baur rails.

The rear mechanism works fine as well, and the vinyl covers when the back is down are nicely stored in the trunk.

I chose to not fold it down on a cold day in order to not crease the rear window.

Not only does this car turn heads because of the rarity of the E 30 BAUR TC, but when you shed the top(s), the car maintained its structural rigidity because it has a sold B Pillar, so it does not feel like a noodle like the later E 30 full Cabrio cars. This car is ready to drive and enjoy.
