1970 Plymouth Duster

1970 Plymouth (Valiant) Duster with exactly 25,000 original miles! 1 of 3,401 Dusters with the 340 and 3-speed. This car is about as original and near-perfect as you'll find. Drivetrain and mechanicals are an 8 paint is a 9, and interior is a 10! Absolutely beautiful Duster that runs/sounds amazing! Everything you would expect from a 25,000 mile car (perhaps better after all these years). •The build sheet is still under the front seat. •All tires are the original Goodyear's. •The loop carpet, headliner, dash, seats and door panels are all amazing (original set of rubber floor mats included).•Weather stripping and rubber around the windshield, back window and doors is still pliable and without cracks.•The original spare tire, jack unit and trunk liner are like new.•Underneath the car provides further evidence of originality and low miles: The rear-end has beautiful factory markings. The fuel sending unit has the original paper tag hanging from the fuel line. The inside wheel wells have almost fresh-looking undercoating. •All hoses as well as plug wires are original and have the Chrysler markings. (I did replace the bypass hose that was split.) •The engine fired up instantly with a new battery and fresh fuel and sounds incredible. (An original battery shell is included.)I know I'm probably missing something important, and I could go on-and-on listing every original component… but I'll just leave it at that. EVERYTHING is completely original, and the car has been untouched in a climate-controlled garage for 35+ years! It's a site to behold and possibly one of only a few remaining so true and original.I recently showed the car to a high-end “low mileage” muscle car dealer, and he was blown away by the condition of this car. He commented several times that the paint was some of the best original paint he had ever seen and was equally impressed with the perfection of the interior. Although we were unable to reach an agreement, he was super gracious/generous in helping me understand, identify and confirm all of the key selling points that make this Duster so special and unique. After an hour going over the car, we also identified a very small and barely noticeable area of blended paint right behind the passenger rear window apparently due to a scratch years ago. Of course, as mentioned above, the remaining 99% of the paint is absolutely beautiful and original.This car would benefit from a bit more detailing in the engine bay as well as some brake work and new exhaust, but once these relatively minor improvements are complete, you will have one of the sweetest like-new Dusters around!I know there are other all-original 1970 Dusters out there, but I can't imagine there are too many 340/3-speed cars that match this level of authenticity and originality.
