The Mustang has been in Missouri for those years and since completion of this restoration very few miles have been driven on the car and only drivento keep the car up and running with everything operating as it should. Everything works on this car down to the original am radio, heater, defroster, lights,emergency brake, wipers, horn, etc. The fit and finish of the car is very good and the window glass fits up exceptional to the convertible soft top. This restoration from the photos was started in 2005 and completed a few years later. The car was cared for and stored properly and it shows as thecar looks as if the restoration was just completed today. No details overlooked from what I can see as even all underneath the dash was restored too. I am actually in the classic Corvette Business and when I came across this car I simply could not pass it up. It is restored to the level of those $100,000 plus cars you see at Auction and restored better than many of the Corvettes I come across. The car has not been modified as many do these days andwas an original type of restoration done other than a resto-mod style. I can tell you that this car could actually be driven anywhere if desired as it goesdown the road with no issues, leaks, and no overheating problems. All gauges work and the speedometer seems to be close to accurate. The wheelshave been restored and the original hubcaps were still used as they are in good presentable condition. It does have a set of whitewall radial tires and arebalanced out smoothly and the car goes down the highway at 70 mph like nothing. The color is called Silver Frost and is correct for the 1966 model year. The interior is a black vinyl and new carpeting, door panels, seat covers, seat frames,have all been replaced or restored along with the gauges, sunvisors, etc. The stainless trim has been restored and the bumpers are new with all back-uplamps, rocker moldings, grill assembly, etc. All of the trim fits well and the emblems are also new. The window glass looks nice and fresh with no chipsor scratches that are deep into the glass. The convertible top was also replaced in black vinyl and the complete soft top frame was disassembled andrefinished like the rest of the car. The interior is about a 9 out of 10 as well as the paint, and undercarriage. The body lines and fitment of the doors, trunk lid, hood, fenders, and soft top are as good or better than when it was new. The paint shows no flaws orcracking anywhere. The only flaw that I had seen was one small chip in the passenger door that is not to noticeable. The door jambs have also beenfinished out nice and all of the trim and hardware on the inner doors such as the latches and window mechanisms have been restored as well. Again, I cannot stress enough just how nice of of a restoration was done on this car as it was completely disassembled and put onto a rotisserie fora total nut-and-bolt restoration. You will not find overspray on the door jambs, weatherstrips, engine bay, etc. Even the trunk was finished out nicelyand I have several more photos to show the buyer if desired. All of the weatherstripping was replaced, new trunk liner, etc. The chassis on this car is just outstanding. New brake lines, fuel lines, fuel tank, exhaust system, rebuilt engine and drivetrain, new suspension,bushings, nothing overlooked from what I can tell having viewing the car up in the air. All of your floor pans are excellent and no heavy pittingor rotting visible or any signs of repairs. The rocker moldings and the rockers themselves look as nice as the top side of the hood. The car wasrestored to keep and not sell at that time is why there is so many details that have been done to this car. In todays time a restoration like this would easily cost you $50,000 and likely a two-year plus process not counting the cost of an original unrestored Mustang.
