About this vehicle This 1952 Dodge M-37/M-43 ( XM-152 ) is an original. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle is drivable and is mainly used for car shows. Vehicle Details
Awesome and very rare!!! 1952 M 37/M 43 XM-152 (EXPERIMENTAL)tin soldier. Completely original running condition. 6 cylinder gas engine. Very little info about them online except they were made in USA and canada as experimental vehicles , Same thing as an ambulance but desks in the back and windows all around . Has a generator in the back and it has working air vents down each side in the back . From research that I did online I can not find another complete example even in a museum!! This could be one for your collection! I have always been the unique one everywhere it went It was used for perades and for American legion events . The brakes lines went on it last year and never got repaired due to illness and it has sat since . Now It's hard to start and will only start with gas dumped straight into the carb but then it dies . Rust is minimal for being east coast still very solid and only small little spots to patch not much . The roof could use a new paint job. The wood floor in the back has a small section about 2 ft x 1 ft that needs a patch on it bc it's a wood rear floor very solid besides that . Clutch makes a little noise when you let it out , probably from start and stop perades. Great great piece of history that has always been upkept untill last year , so this is not a huge project just needs a little love , everything original except the two new batteries ..Has a working front PTO winch . Any questions I will do my best to answer . I am always available to show it if your local and would like to see it . It comes with a tow bar and the spare for the door . I never kept it on the door except perade time then it came back off and went in the back . Lights and clock all work in the back . It has a door that separates the front from the back .
