We are pleased to offer this very nice example of an E9 BMW coupe.   These cars are some of the most sought after BMW's ever.   First produced in 1968 with production ending 1975. the E9's started with the 2000CS and are well known for the 3. 0CSL and its domination in racing.   Only 87 1971 2800CSA's were sold in the states. making it a rare find.   This particular car was originally sold and serviced in southern California.

  In 2005 this 2800CSA had an extensive restoration from a main bearing up engine rebuild. to a complete paint re-spray.   We have a large stack of receipts to back this up.   It was sold to an individual in Washington State in 2006. then moved to Oregon where we acquired the BMW.   It was in great condition except the transmission was leaking badly and not shifting properly.    We had the transmission completely overhauled and performed a quick tune up. We also sent the stainless trim out to be polished as it had been painted back at some point.  Most of these Karmann bodied cars had rust issues. because they were not galvanized.   This car does not have the typical rust issues and has survived very well over time.   We have provided detailed photos of the chassis and body so that you can see this for yourself.   The car is mostly all original inside and out.  It still has the original wheels and center caps that look great.   All the suspension has been checked over and the front struts are new Bilstein pieces.   The interior is original and looks good right down to the dash pad.   All the glass and moldings look great.   A prior owner upgraded the carburetors with Weber carbs from Redline. but the original carburetors come with the car. as well with some other spare parts.   It has some of its tool kit. but does have the Jack and Spare tire.   Another nice bonus is complete BMW shop and service manuals for the car included. The only cosmetic item that we would replace in the near future would be the steering wheel. It is the original wood wheel that the finish has worn off and it was wrapped to cover this up.
